I don't see foreign ambassadors visiting Oprah

Wherein first there are a couple of complications

Thanks to Throwing Things I learned about the Hungarian bridge to be named after Stephen Colbert. The Hungarian ambassador to the United States, András Simonyi, appeared on The Colbert Report with an official proclamation. Funny guy, he should get his own show.

He did make a veiled threat on Stephen Colbert's life, though.

You do have to be dead to have a bridge named for you, and the ambassador did suggest they'd 'do' something about that when the time comes.

I didn't see it as a threat. I thought it was more of a test of Colbert's commitment for having the bridge named after him.

I guess Colbert committing seppuku(切腹) during the opening day of the bridge would satisfy everyone.

(except maybe Stephen's widow and orphaned children)

It would show great commitment, that's for sure.
