3. String theory. Which also posits that the strings themselves are actually noodle/tentacles of the Great Flying Spaghetti Monster.

(I may have made up the monster part)

4. I can only think of Frank and Jackie, the 42 makes it easy given that every team in baseball has that as a retired number.

6. Brideshead Revisited. They probably should have called the recent one Brideshead Re-revisited to avoid confusion.

7. You'd think he'd go Olympic themed with the question seven this week, but I'm not seeing it.

Brooks and Frank. Really, every team had to retire Jackie Robinson's 42? Guess I really don't pay attention to baseball anymore.

Right, Brooks was an Oriole, the 42 retirement was a big thing locally given Jackie Robinson was A) from Pasadena and B) played for the Dodgers.

It was on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his debut with the Dodgers, and some sportswriters made a stink out of the fact that at the time of the ceremony (held at a Dodgers at Mets game so that it'd be in NYC) the LA Dodgers had no American born black players (Carribean born black players don't count), and the only African-Americans to play in the game were Lance Johnson and Bernard Gilkey (had to look up the box score to find the players, do remember the controversy, didn't remember who was on the Mets roster in 97).

Did I mention how much I hate racial bean counters?

Don't hear too many people complaining that the entire USA Olympic team this year is African American (assuming you count Jason Kidd, dude is as light as I am).

(though some are complaining that Russia has two black players born here, and Germany has one, plus one really ugly white guy born here on their team)
